Summary:
On the night the kingdom fell and the entire royal family was being executed, Clarisse, who naturally thought she would also die, heard something unexpected. “We cannot execute anyone who has not reached the age of eighteen. Instead, I will kill you the day you turn eighteen.” And so, Clarisse is given ten years to live. Clarisse then heads North as a “prisoner.” And she asks the Grand Duke for only one thing… “Um, is it okay if I take this friend with me? It’s my only friend.” But what Clarisse holds out is a rock? It’s a new life in the North! But this life as a “prisoner” keeps on getting better…?
