Summary:
Isagi, a court alchemist, uses alchemy to reform agriculture in order to save the people who are suffering from food shortages. However, he fails to gain the understanding of the government, which prioritizes military affairs, and is eventually fired. Isagi is at her wits' end, but at the invitation of Mercia, a cat beast maid, they heads for a remote beastman village. The alchemist's slow life of leisurely and carefree farming begins!
